Welcome To Equine Ananda.

Feeling stuck, blocked, or searching for a deeper and more meaningful life? This unique practice may help you to become more connected, grounded and inspired!

Equine Ananda (“divine joy” in Sanskrit) offers relational experiences with horses to cultivate deeper awareness, empowerment, and personal growth.  Through Equine Assisted Learning & Coaching horses can facilitate profound shifts in our relationships and outlook on life.

In my offerings, the horses are co-facilitators for building awareness, self-reflection and change.   Explore a deeper emotional and sensory environment, reconnect to the natural world and discover subconscious patterns that may be holding you back.

If you’d like to book a session or hear more about our sessions, please reach out.  What possibilities may be waiting for you?

Self Discovery

The Experience

Interacting with and observing horses can illuminate emotions, learned patterns of behaviour and limiting beliefs.  Their authentic, non-judgmental interaction offers a safe opportunity for self-inquiry. When we drop into the way of the horse, with grounded presence and deepened awareness, we can tune into what is happening within.

We begin with a relaxed and informal discussion about the intentions for your sessions. Next, we move into grounding and awareness to magnify the present moment - awakening the senses and attuning to the environment. The real experience begins when you enter the paddock and connect with the horses.  Their presence can often evokes unconscious thoughts and feelings and bring further curiosity and discovery of our true nature.  Horses can illuminate what we need to become more aware of what is holding us back.

The Farm.

Kilcoole in the Macedon Ranges

Here, we can allow ourselves to cultivate curiosity for who we are outside of our jobs, labels, and commitments.  In a landscape of mountain views, grazing horses and fresh country air, we’re offered the opportunity to safely enter a more soulful way of being.  The possibilities are endless and you may leave the farm reminded of your connection to nature, with heightened self-awareness, and a desire to live your best life.

Kilcoole is an idyllic country sanctuary located just under an hour from Melbourne on the outskirts of the quaint town of Romsey.  Nestled in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges, the environment is the perfect setting to fully immerse yourself in the natural world.  Expansive views across the rolling meadows support us to move away from a busy life and reconnect with our true nature.

What People Are Saying

"I was a bit nervous about being around horses at first but quickly felt totally safe and comfortable with Maelani's guidance. So much came up for me and it felt really powerful to see the patterns I was aware of also playing out with the horses. Seeing how my interaction with the horses changed after becoming really aware and focusing on exploring the way I was feeling gave me so much more insight. I have since been able to apply what I learnt to other areas of my life."

"Maelani completed her training with the Institute in 2019 in Equine Assisted Learning, and I was so delighted with her presence, deep understanding of the training material, and authentic way of being with her-self, others and the horses, that I invited her to become one of our Institute Trainers! Mae brings a grounded presence, astute mind and emotional attunement to her clients (and future students!) that supports the potential for deep change, growth and healing. You will feel nourished, if you have the good fortune to work with Mae"

“I have never liked or felt comfortable with the thought of clinical mental health sessions. Although I'm typically an extroverted person, I tend to keep my feelings and struggles very close to my chest. Talking to a stranger is not something I would find easy. When equine assisted learning was brought to my attention I knew it would be something that would work for me. No judgement, no expectations being put on me. I was honestly surprised at how easily i was able to let my walls down.”
